What is an AIESEC Intern?
An AIESEC intern is an undergraduate or graduate who has been proactive and taken the challenge to gain experience of work in different cultures anywhere in the world. Usually with a background in management, finance, IT or engineering, they are available for a period of between 2 and 18 months.
The large pool of candidates means you can choose an intern who meets your requirements. You can be assured of their quality as each one has had to pass a rigorous assessment procedure in their home country which looks for attributes such as team skills, openness to new ideas and the ability to deal with change, in addition to academic and language abilities.
AIESEC internships are supported by an educational framework which begins long before the student's departure and long after their return to their home country. Interns are prepared for their work experience by participation in preparation activities organised by AIESEC. Whilst in the receiving country, the local AIESEC eases the intern into their culture by meeting them at the airport and arranging their accommodation as well as cultural and social activities. When the intern returns to their home country, they participate in re-integration seminars to capture their learning experiences and to re-acquaint them with their native culture.
